Catalina Xavlena is a multidisciplinary artist from Oakland, California.
Catalina utilizes film photography, filmmaking, writing and intuitive mediumship to create visions.
Catalina's work exists to RECLAIM, DECOLONIZE AND FREE.
Catalina's work exists to represent, illuminate and dream beyond the experience of fellow mixed, black, brown, people of color in a world that more than often oppresses, neglects, ignores and steals our perspective.
Catalina’s visual and directorial work has been featured in publications, festivals and galleries worldwide.
Catalina is currently working on various short and feature length films, including an ongoing film collaboration with acclaimed experimental artist Spellling, as well as the upcoming, “Fantasy.”
